Current research projects:
1.    Pattern formation in individual development using colonial invertebrates as model object. Regular changes in spatial organization of colony elements in its ontogeny and evolution.
2.    Pattern of morphogenesis in lower metazoan. Mechanisms and regulations. Effect of environment upon invertebrate morphogenesis and development.
3.    Cellular processes (cell proliferation, spatial and temporal differentiation, cell migrations, possibility of trans-differentiation, apoptosis) in morphogenesis and development of lower metazoans. Plasticity of cellular organization in lower metazoans.
4.    Symbiotic associations between micro-algae and cyanobacteria with invertebrates in high latitude seas.
5.    Immunological interactions in parasite-host system.
