A.O. Borisanova graduated from the Invertebrate zoology Department of Biological faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2008. From 2008 to 2011 she was postgraduate student of the Invertebrate zoology Department. In 2013 A.O. Borisanova passed Ph.D. defense. Ph.D. thesis subject was "Microscopic anatomy and ultrastructure of Barentsia discreta (Busk, 1886) (Kamptozoa, Coloniales)".
